bonita

beanie

bertie

Bonita, Born in 2007, Bonita is another cat who has had a few teeth removed and now needs a soft food diet. She still manages to eat a few dry biscuits, she enjoys the crunchiness!

Beanie is a shy girl with a fondness for water. Beanie finds trusting us quite difficult but on occasion has befriended certain visitors. She's choosey !

Bertie is an adult male cat. He is deaf, so will require a special home where he is safe from roads and other dangers.  We think Bertie also suffers with other disabilities as he has a slight wobble and tilts his head back when walking. He is the most affectionate of cats and has won over quite a few visitors. A gentle and good natured cat that would suit a home with a family.

brandy

emily

fluffy

Brandy is a tabby and white female who was hit by a car when she was six months old which left her totally paralysed. She then spent ten months at the vets and eventually she regained her mobility.  Now 17 months old (as of April 2018) she is settling in at the shelter, gaining in confidence and learning to socialise with other cats. She loves being held and cuddled and would make a super indoor pet. Emily has been at Argos for a few years. She was quite shy with people to begin with and it has taken a while for her to be confident enough to trust people. She is now a very friendly girl who rushes to welcome visitors to the cattery. Fluffy is a big fluffy girl by name. She is frightened of human contact and hides away all day. She is a tall long haired beautiful girl who is unlikely to find a home unless we can gain her trust.

gladys

hoppy

hope

Gladys, having a sensitive tummy and teeth problems means Gladys has to be monitored regularly. Normal soft food can cause Gladys to have an upset tummy and dry biscuits can sometimes be too hard for her to eat. Gladys requires a soft food for cats with sensitive tummies. Our wonderful friends from the Norwegian group Support Argos have given little Hoppy a fresh start in every way for 2013. Hoppy was found left for dead in the middle of a busy street. His leg had been crushed and left paralysed. After being neutered in November the vets decided that the leg would never regain any feeling and that the best option for Hoppy was an amputation. He had grown into a healthy and strong cat and so with the help of funds raised by his followers at Support Argos Hoppy had his operation to amputate the leg at the shoulder. The operation was a huge success and brave little Hoppy is flying around the sanctuary at great speed on his three legs. Hope was saved from a rubbish bin when still very young; her front and back right legs were deformed and it looked like she would have to have the rear leg amputated as the deformity was quite severe.
After enduring a splint on the front leg and weeks of vitamin injections plus lots of love in foster care, both legs are now normal and she can run, jump and play with the other cats. Full of mischief and a very affectionate little girl.
DOB is estimated mid to end August 2017.

jake

jodie

keo

Jake is 9 years old and missing his back right leg and some toes from his back left leg. He was caught in a trap as a kitten and so an amputation was necessary  Jake came to Argos when his owner became ill and has settled well . He is a gentle quiet boy who has chosen himself a favourite basket. Following a road accident Jodie was rescued by an Argos supporter. SadlyJodie had an operation to remove her front right leg which was necessary.
On arriving at Argos she was very timid but has blossomed in to a very affectionate and sociable cat. Her disability does not impede her at all and she enjoys the freedom of the shelter.
Keo is a very sociable boy he's approximately six years old. Keo was brought to the shelter after he was found hanging around a local taverna and was considered to be a nuisance. Keo is deaf and is now safe in the shelter but he would make a lovely companion cat for someone who can give him lots of attention. Keo would need a new home without any other cats as he is also FIV positive but this should not preclude him from living a full and happy life.

lenny

Lenny born 31/08/2012 is a greedy, cheeky boy. He arrived at Argos along with his mother and 4 brothers. Lenny's greediness plays havoc with his tummy and having suffered with bouts of tummy upsets he now finds himself a resident of our Hill's recovery area where he has settled very well.
